Postdoc position in computational chemistry / structure-based drug design

A number of new posts have been created as part of a new Drug Discovery
for Tropical Diseases initiative
(http://www.wellcome.ac.uk/doc_wtx027342.html) .  Available for 3 years
in the first instance, these posts are to be located within brand new
laboratory facilities in the recently completed Centre for
Interdisciplinary Research. All posts represent a unique opportunity to
gain experience in drug discovery within an academic setting. These
posts will be available from 1st April 2006 and offer competitive salaries.

Computational Chemist

Candidates should have a PhD in the area of structure-based drug design.
This post will involve compound library design, virtual screening and
interpretation of structure-activity relationships. Experience with a
scripting language such as Perl, Python or PHP and with MySQL databases
would be an advantage. The candidate will interact with medicinal
chemists and screening scientists on a regular basis. (Dr. Ruth Brenk)
