Dear Bill, We use a Linux PC running RedHat 9.0 to control our R-AXIS IV++ attached to a M007HF. There is a Linux piece of software called StructureStudio that does basically what CrystalClear does. StructureStudio does not come with D*TREK processing software incorporated into it, so you have to use a separate installation of this program. I believe a new version of this software should be around shortly. Alternatively, I have managed to successfully install CrystalClear version 1.3.5 and 1.3.6 on a WindowsXP PC controlling an R-AXIS IV++ for a M007. Whether or not you can do this depends on how your PC communicates with your RAXIS - PCI card or SCSI. For SCSI, inspection of your 'pizza box' interface will let you know if you can upgrade to WinXp without further hardware modifications. I advise you contact Rigaku for more info on this. I have no idea about command line control software.
