The website for the 36th Mid-Atlantic Macromolecular Crystallography
(MAMC) Meeting www.csb.wfu.edu/midatlantic06/ is now open for
registration, for both participants and exhibitors. The opening session
on Thursday, June 1, will feature two Keynote Speakers. Prof. Tomitake
Tsukihara of Osaka University will talk on, “Proton pumping mechanism of
cytochrome c oxidase implicated by high resolution X-ray structures.”
Prof. Jack Johnson of The Scripps Research Institute will talk on,
“Analysis of virus particle maturation: Insights into elegantly
programmed nano-machines.” The format of the Meeting will be similar to
past workshops in which scientific talks will be selected from submitted
Abstracts; these will be scheduled for June 2-3 with meals provided.
There will be a catered dinner the night of June 2 in downtown
Winston-Salem that will feature 4th Street Jazz & Blues as well as the
DADA Gallery Hop. The Meeting will adjourn after lunch on Saturday,
June 3.

Participants are responsible for their own lodging. We have blocked
hotel rooms near the Wake Forest University campus (“Accommodations”) as
well as rooms in Polo Residence Hall on campus, at discounted Meeting rates.

The $50 registration fee will help to offset Meeting costs. Thank you
very much in advance for your help and support.
