I would like to remind you that
The Higher European Research Course for Users of
Large Experimental Systems (HERCULES) is organising
a *Structural Genomics Specialised Course* from
the* 9 to the 13 October 2006 in Grenoble*.
This course will give insights into current robotic
techniques used to produce crystalline sample
and how to maximise the experimental results using the
latest technological developments available at the ESRF
macromolecular crystallography (MX) beamlines.
A mixture of lectures, tutorials and practical sessions
will cover bio-informatics, robotic protein production
and crystallisation, as well as structure solution
using synchrotron MX beamlines.
*Students will have the opportunity to bring their purified
protein or pre-frozen crystals*. Purified proteins will be
screened against crystallisation conditions using
a Cartesian nano-litre robot.
*Student crystals *produced on site or shipped using the
SPINE standard tools* will be screened on the MAD
beamlines* (BM14, ID14-4, ID29 or ID23-1)* using the
automatic sample changers* during training sessions
and analysed in dedicated data analysis tutorials.
