SYNCHROTRON BEAM TIME FOR MACROMOLECULAR CRYSTALLOGRAPHY
AT THE UNDULATOR BEAMLINE X06SA AT SLS FROM SEP - DECEMBER 2006

- mar225 mosaic detector installed on High Resolution Diffractometer
allowing for 1200 frames
per hour at 1 s exposure time.
- A dedicated Micro-Diffractometer MD2 is available for user experiments
including MAD.
The small focus of 25 x 5 microns**2 (15 x 5 microns**2 with aperture )
guarantees for
highest possible resolution data from micro-crystals. Successful
structure solution down
to 8 x 8 x 3 µm**3 crystal size.
- 2-theta detector rotation for ultra-high-resolution data collection
and long wavelength S-SAD.
- Fast data processing with XDS on 4-node dual processor Opteron
(parallelisation script by
K. Diederichs).
- Starting March 1st 2004, SLS is able to provide support for travel and
