ELECTRON MICROSCOPY
GROUP LEADER
The Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB) is
an international centre of excellence in basic and applied biomedical research,
located at the The Structural
and Computational Biology Programme seeks a scientist to lead a new
research group in the field of Electron Microscopy (EM). A proven record of
excellence in the structural analysis of biological particles and assemblies
using cryo-EM and single-particle reconstruction techniques is required. The
successful candidate is expected to work closely with other members of the
Programme, who are involved in X-ray crystallography, NMR and Computational
Biology. Basic EM equipment is already available; however, the Institute plans
to purchase further state-of-the-art EM instrumentation under the guidance of
the new Group Leader. The Institute will provide successful candidates
with a generous start-up package and access to state-of-the-art core facilities. Applications for the above openings should include
