I'm not sure I can be of much help. I can first report that I had no
problem to do the unpacking on a MacIntel (at the time it was
CCP4-6.0.0 and MacOS 10.4.4 or 10.4.5).
Just to try to understand what lead you to this message, can you
confirm I get what you tried correct:
1. You got the arp_warp_6.1.1.tar.gz from the HH-EMBL server.
2. You then unpacked it in the location of your choice (using tar -
xzf arp_warp_6.1.1.tar.gz, or something like that).
3. You then installed it, following the instruction from the file :
'arp_warp_6.1.1/README'
4. Finally you followed the instructions in the same file to get the
CCP4i GUI.
If this is the case, can you send me the file ARP_wARP_CCP4I.tar.gz ,
present in the ARP/wARP distribution?
Last thing, can you tell me how you got the ccp4 installed on your
intel based mac, from which source (so that I can try to install it
the same way, to check the problem is not lying in the ccp4i
installation itself).

Hello,
we use ccp4 vers. 6.0.1 on OSX macintel vers. 10.4.6.
When trying to install arp/warp we get the following message:
Failed to unpack and/or read content of ARP_wARP_CCP4I.tar.gz.
This may not be a valid CCP4i package.
Does anybody have a suggestion?
