Hi all,
making my first steps in ccp4mg, find many features very nice, but ran
into the following problem:
I want to display a fairly thin slice of electron density in order to
compare the connectivity of different maps, and write the picture into a
file.
With the simple snapshot option I get the correct slab that was
displayed in the gui:

With the povray snapshot option I get a much thicker slice:

This is a bug, I will have to fix this.
Any ideas what I can do about this?
Also, is there a simple way to change the slab, eg. by command line?
Both the ruler in the gui or the keyboard commands appear very slow even
when the maps are turned off.
A completely new slab will be in the next release (which I am starting
to prepare today after fixing your bug), the current gui will go
altogether. The new slab will always be at the rotation centre; if this
is not flexible enough we will alter this behaviour. A new gui will be
offered which just allows altering of thickness. The keyboard should
alter the slab, but I have to fix this for the "new slab".
Btw. we are using ccp4mg 0.12.1 that comes with ccp4 6.0.1.
"1.0" will appear early next week.
Thanks a lot for input
Jan
