Postdoctoral position

Molecular mechanism of sister chromatid cohesion

 

A postdoctoral position is available at the Friedrich Miescher Laboratory of Max Planck Society, Tübingen, Germany, starting in December 2006 or January 2007. Projects involve isolation and electron microscopy of cohesed DNA molecules from S.cerevisiae as well as purification and characterization of protein complexes involved in the establishment of sister chromatid cohesion.

 

The newly opening lab will have modern equipment for forming and harvesting velocity and equilibrium gradients, there is an access to in-house mass-spectrometry and electron microscopy facilities.
