Post-doctoral position at Lund University The Department of Molecular Biophysics (http://www.mbfys.lu.se) is a small but lively one, with four research groups involved in macromolecular crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy in a variety of different biological areas. We have frequent access to the MAX-lab synchrotron, ten minutes walk from the Department, with its new MAD beamline, Cassiopeia (http://cassiopeia.maxlab.lu.se). The Department is well equipped for molecular biology and protein _expression_; non-bacterial protein _expression_ is done in collaboration with groups at the Biomedical Centre. Equipment for low volume crystallisation and automatic drop inspection is available at MAX-lab (Tecan Freedom Evo 150, Mosquito and Crystal Pro). Lund University, with seven faculties and a number of research centres and specialized institutes, is the largest unit for research and higher education in Sweden. Lund University was founded in 1666, partly in order to knit the provinces which had been ceded by Denmark in 1658 closer to Sweden. At present more than 38 000 students are enrolled and altogether some 6000 people are employed. Lund is an attractive university town with a rich cultural life and within one hour by train from Copenhagen.
