Hi Tim Downloading CCP4 6.0.1 will obviously include all the patches accumulated for 6.0, but not the patches since then. However if you are installing from source on a UNIX or Linux system then there is a shell script distributed with the package that will download and apply all the available patches - for details on usage see http://www.ccp4.ac.uk/dist/INSTALL.html#updates and http://www.ccp4.ac.uk/dist/html/patch_ccp4.html The script is not currently integrated into the installer script generated by the automated downloads page, so it requires some additional effort when installing via this route. I hope that it will also be incorporated into the installer for future releases. Hope that this helps, best wishes Peter On Wed, 2 Aug 2006, Tim Gruene wrote: > *** For details on how to be removed from this list visit the *** > *** CCP4 home page http://www.ccp4.ac.uk *** > > > Hello, > > when I download the ccp4 sources using the 'automated Downloads Pages', do > I obtained a patched version of the source or do I have to download and > apply the patches manually? > > Tim > > -- > Tim Gruene > Institut fuer anorganische Chemie > Tammannstr. 4 > D-37077 Goettingen > > GPG Key ID = A46BEE1A > > -- ___________________________________________________ Peter J Briggs, [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tel: +44 1925 603826 CCP4, [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fax: +44 1925 603825 http://www.ccp4.ac.uk/ Daresbury Laboratory, Daresbury, Warrington WA4 4AD
