Hey Jenny, If all of your drops are clear I would move to a higher protein concentration, generally you would like to see half of your drops with a precipitate to start with. Also, if there is already a condition for the wildtype protein I would screen around this condition first. I wish I had the answer for how to grow larger crystals! but in general you should try to optimize the parameters of that condition one by one, you can also try varying the drop ratio as this has worked for me in the past. Also, you could try seeding.... anyway, hope this gives you some ideas! goodluck!
