Hi Liang, > I have a Se-Met data set only good at 6 angstrom. Is it still useful for > phasing? Well, the short answer is that it depends on a couple of things: how many Se atoms vs total atoms; if you have only SAS or full MAD; how many of your Se atoms are actually localized (and probably more importantly, how many of the localized Se atoms you are able to find). If you have a relatively large proportion of Se atoms, which you can locate, and three wavelength data, then it should be possible to phase off of it. But the more important question is if you get a good 6 angstrom phase set, is it going to be useful for your project? Intpretation of low resolution maps can be problematic, and phase extension only gets you so far (if you later get a higher-resolution native dataset).
