At last, ammunition to convince my boss to buy a more up to date version
of international tables. He is convinced that the 1969 version still
tells us everything we need to know - seems section 9 was written
sometime within the last 37 years!

i.e. a < b < c for oP, oI & oF (oC is a special case, see Table).
The order is independent of handedness. If necessary the direction of
one axis is reversed to make the cell right-handed.

Dear ccp4bb,
Could anyone tell me where I can find the index conventions regarding
how one specifies unit cell lengths (ie in Orthorhombic, after taking
into consideration handedness, do I put the lengths in increasing or
decreasing order)? I've been vaguely flicking through international
tables for the last couple days without much joy.
