Any suggestions what to try to get a more homogeneous protein solution.
Proteinase K.Phase separation may be caused by the salt/beta-OG ratio. It might be worth trying to lower the ionic strength and/or the surfactant concentration, and possibly trying a bit of DMSO. It is also possible to get crystals from phase separation.
