*EU Marie Curie Host Fellowship for the Transfer of Knowledge (ToK)
Development Host Scheme** in Drug design at the molecular level using
approximate and exact computational methods** *
The Scheme seeks to recruit a theoretical chemist with extensive
experience on Molecular Dynamics methodology that simulates biological
environments, in an attempt to extract valuable information from the
experimental data obtained using X-ray crystallography and design
improved inhibitors of glycogenolysis, potential hypoglycaemic agents,
in collaboration with Prof. G. Archontis (Theoretical and Computational
Biophysics, Department of Physics, University of Cyprus).
Applicants should have a relevant PhD and more than 10 years research
experience since their Bachelor degree. Applicants must meet the
eligibility criteria for EU Marie Curie Fellowships which include:
· Candidates must not have a Greek nationality
· Candidates may not have resided or carried out their main activity in
Greece for more than 12 months in the 3 years prior to the start of the
Fellowship.
The taxable salary for a Fellow will be at least €61000 p.a. The Fellow
may also be entitled to receive additional benefits such as travel and
mobility allowances and career development awards. The appointment will
be for an initial period of 12 months with a possibility of extension
for an additional period of 12 months.
