Hi Shivesh,

sorry this is doesn't relate to pymol. but you can easily get a nice
pic for your publication with your molecule and the associated e.d. in
xtalview. what i do is save a pdb file for only the atoms i want in
the picture, display that pdb file and the e.den. for that molecule
and use the "blob" option to display the density around those atoms.
and you can adjust some parameters to get what you'd like to see. you
can then use imagemagick (think this is the default option in
xtalview) or alternatively save the figure and use render command to
write out a .png file. altho' png file is not as good as tiff , you
can fire up photoshop or gimp and save as tiff. but i think you can
use these png files directly into your presentations as they aren't as
big as tiff and of decent quality for presentations. but you probably
need the tiff files made out from high res (say 300 dpi) for
publications

good luck

Dear all,
I am trying to make good electron density picture in pymol for
publication. The problem is that I am unable to remove the extra electron
density of the symmetry related molecule which is coming along with the
region which I have chosen even at low sigma(1).What should I do???thanx...
