Dear All,

After carrying out a routine fink update about a week ago and then trying to run CNS 1.1 (on PowerBook G4; under Mac OSX 10.4.8) it fails with the following error message:

/sw/bin/cns:7: fork failed: resource temporarily unavailable
cns_solve or cns not found

I have followed William Scott's advice and put the following file

http://xanana.ucsc.edu/Library/init/zsh/local-functions/xtal/cns

into /sw/share/xtal/cns_solve_1.1/bin/; since in /sw/bin there are pointers (as I understand to this directory) such as cns -> /sw/share/ xtal/cns_solve_1.1/bin/cns.zsh

Unfortunately it did not seem to have solved my problem.

I am still digging around but cannot find out where the problem lies.

Does anybody have a fix?

(Why use cns at all: I would like to calculate SA omit maps for a finished lower resolution model).

Regards,

Florian
