I'm not clear from your email message whether you are currently
experiencing this problem on Kubuntu or a different system.

If you want, you could try installing a debian ccp4 package I made
with Kubuntu Breezy.  It works on the latest release (edgy) too.

Any advice? I use the Red Hat binaries on Kubuntu
Dapper Drake and it always worked fine.
