Yes, we purchased Linux stations with Nvidia FX3450 cards (because
they came as a package deal, we were not partial to those particular
cards) and the FX3450 works fine (in stereo) with Coot. Have not yet
tried with 'O', but the essential part of your question - does stereo
work -the answer is yes.
The FX3450 (as you can see on Nvidia's web site) is significantly better than the FX1400/1500 but not as good as 3500 or 4500. Since the performance is much better than the proven 1400/1500 cards (I think it is probably already over-kill), I do not know if you want to consider 3500 or 4500. The price on those is quite high. Then again, as in our case, sometimes you can get really good package deals where you don't really pay (much) extra for the graphics.

Has anyone had success putting either an Nvidia Quadro FX 3450, 3500, or

listing the compatible cards shows FX 3400 and 4400, and I'm just wondering
