You might want to check the following

(1) File access permissions to the file location for SPOTOD - see Bill
Scott's remarks

(2) try a copy of Mosflm downloaded from the LMB site - there are
sometimes little differences in the executables built in different places
which can cause difficulties

(3) If you're using NFS mounted disks & Linux, you don't want to use
NUSPOT OFF unless you're desperate! There is a real problem with Linux &
NFS which hits performance with NUSPOT OFF (this is the *only* reason I
implemented NUSPOT ON!).

The specific problem you have is caused by the CCP4 file library
functions not being able to open the SPOTOD file - so probably (1) would
be all you need to look at.
