Hi Yves, There is no secrets about the Gentoo ebuild for CCP4. Just synchronize your portage first doing, >emerge --sync/emerge emerge-webrsync (if ur behind a firewall) and then, >emerge ccp4 The ebuild is going to solve some few dependencies like cifparse, tcltk, bltwish, pdb-extract, rasmol and so on and finally, build the entire ccp4 suite smoothly. If you were talking about the ccp4-6.0.2 ebuild, certainly its going to take a while since the ccp4-6.0.2 tarball has been released just few day ago. However, as long as the Gentoousers crystallography community gets bigger and bigger we might have ccp4 ebuilds sooner, since is quite easy to manage packages like gromacs, grace, pymol, coot, etc. I hope it helps, Fred Yves Muller wrote: > Dear Fred, > Your email to the CCP4 mailing list remains a little bit cryptic. > Because we use Gentoo on all our Linux-computers here, I would be > interested in the CCP4-build you mentioned.
