Hi Folks,
My colleague has been trying to run some Phaser jobs. Some of the jobs
hang abruptly after running/'thrashing' for days with no error messages
at the end of the logfile. The jobs are being run on a PowerMac G5 Quad.
The jobs still remain queued and show a 'running' status (not 'Failed')
in the CCP4i task list window but do not appear when you run the top
command from the terminal. Attempts to 'Kill' or 'Kill&Remove' the jobs
do not work since they are somehow no longer running.
Not sure what's going on anymore! Any insights would be greatly
appreciated. In subsequent jobs, we have changed parameters as per the
Phaser manual to keep the job length from going wild.
