Post doctoral position available at IGBMC
(Illkirch, in the immediate vicinity of Strasbourg, France)
A post-doctoral position (two years) is immediately available in the
Department of Structural Biology and Genomics of IGBMC, to participate
in a challenging project with impact on human health.
The project consists of a structural investigation of a
ribo-nucleoprotein complex which is involved in transcription regulation
in eukaryotes, with the aim of understanding how an RNA can switch a
transcription factor to an inactive form.
For the production of the different partners (proteins and RNA) the
project will benefit from access to the Structural Biology and Genomics
Platform at IGBMC for cloning, expression and crystallization. The
structural approach (X-ray crystallography and Electron Microscopy) will
rely on up-to date equipment and stimulating environment.
Candidates should have experience in RNA handling and production and/or
structural investigation of RNA complexes.
