All - small question about running Phaser. I'm running the Brute Translation Function with 1 molecule (no fixed solution). The data was indexed as P21212 & I want to try various other space groups in PG222, so I inserted the lines in the normal BTF script: SGAL TEST P2122 SGAL TEST P2212 SGAL TEST P222 each in a separate job. So far it's done about 20% of the job in each case and the outputs are identical (apart obviously from the echo of the SGAL line, filenames & times). Shouldn't I be seeing different intermediate results (peak heights & positions) from the translation functions? I assume I've got the format right because specifying space groups such as 'P 21 2 2' or 1017 gives an error, or is the order important (doc doesn't say). Or am I being impatient & I have to wait until the jobs finish? Cheers -- Ian ******************************************** Ian J. Tickle, DPhil.
