Dear Cristian
Dave Briggs is right and Birkbeck, School of Crystallography do offer a
1 year Advanced Certificate in Protein Crystallography by study over the
internet. Our start date is November each year and combined with
another of our one year courses you can earn an MSc in Structural
Biology from the University of London in 2 years from anywhere in the
world. see http://www.cryst.bbk.ac.uk/px.html for further details fees etc
However if you are at Sheffield University UK, the other possibility is
the annual one week CCP4/BCA protein crystallography summer school.
These alternate North and South (but students can travel to either).
Summer 2007 course will be in St Andrews see
http://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/~glt2/Summer2003/school.html
for details of 2005. I expect 2007 will be announced in the next few
months. The 2006 course was in Oxford and the 2008 course is likely to
be there again. It would be unusual for a UK registered graduate
student not to get on these courses.
Best wishes
Nick
