Durward W J Cruickshank FRS, Professor of Chemistry at UMIST (1967-1983; Emeritus thereafter), died on Friday July 13th at Alderley Edge, near Manchester, aged 83. There will be a private family funeral this week. A memorial service will be held at a later date, details to follow.
