We are pleased to announce the release of a significantly updated version of the MIFit+ software. MIFit+ contains the MIFit crystallographic model-fitting and display program as well as the MIExpert application for managing crystallographic structure solution software. MIFit contains a 'ligand dictionary editor' for automatically generating, displaying and editing restraints for structure refinement. MIExpert includes a pipeline automation system for rapidly obtaining pre-refined models and maps in repetitive co-crystallography projects with minimal user input. The MIFit+ software may be downloaded from http://mi.active-sight.com/download.html Permanent installations of MIFit+ are free to academic users. The download URL has changed but the username and password to the download site are the same as previously so that users who have previously downloaded MIFit do not need to reregister. New academic users may obtain the download information upon registration. Anyone (commercial or academic) may download a time-locked demo version of MIFit+ without registration.
