A position is available in my laboratory.

Applications are invited for a post doctoral position in the Structural Studies
Division of the Laboratory of Molecular Biology.
The structure of a beta-1 adrenergic receptor has recently been solved at
the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology using a novel approach,
complementing the recently published work on beta-2 receptor.
To strengthen our understanding of ligand binding and expand expertise in the field,we are offering a two-year postdoctoral career development fellowship. We hope to attract an enthusiastic scientist with an interest in membrane protein structure and X-ray crystallography, to join a multi- disciplinary
team at the LMB with expertise in the stabilisation, crystallisation and
structure determination of G protein coupled receptors. This is an
exceptional opportunity to be trained in a new and rapidly developing area
of structural pharmacology. There will also be an opportunity to
participate in translational research involving Heptares Therapeutics Ltd,
a recent MRC spin-out.
The successful applicant will be awarded a two-year MRC Career
Development Fellowship which is a training and development position for
a postdoctoral scientist who has recently completed their doctoral
studies, is moving into a new research discipline or has limited experience
of key transferable skills.

Applications for this role must now be made online at
http://jobs.mrc.ac.uk inputting reference LMB07/814
If you do not have internet access or experience technical
difficulties please call 01793 301280.
