Hi Hongmin, I have used the anti-penta-His HRP conjugate antibody from Qiagen, and it works very well. It comes as a kit which includes a special blocking buffer. You don't need to use any secondary antibody, so it saves time. But you can only use the diluted solution 1-2 times within 1-2 weeks, so it is not as re-usable as most primary antibodies. See details at Qiagen web site. http://www1.qiagen.com/Products/Protein/Detection/QIAexpressDetectionSystem/Penta-HisHRPConjugateKit.aspx
My friend also had good experience with a cheaper anti-His antibody from Sigma. But it didn't work well in our hands probably because it prefers N-terminal His tag. http://www.sigmaaldrich.com/catalog/search/ProductDetail/SIGMA/H1029 HTH. Hua PS: I am at Scripps now and Lei is at UCLA. ---------------------------------------- > Date: Wed, 13 Feb 2008 11:54:05 -0500 > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: [ccp4bb] Anti-6His antibody > To: [email protected] > > Hi, > > We are looking for a good and price-effective anti-6His antibody for > detection of protein expressions (western or ELISA).
