Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Molecular Modelling

The Eskitis Institute for Cell and Molecular Therapies (http://www.griffith.edu.au/science/eskitis-institute/) is looking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Molecular Modelling on a 12 month, fixed term basis (AU$ 60,049 pa). The successful applicant will work with Professor Ron Quinn, (Director, Eskitis Institute)
and Associate Professor Andreas Hofmann.

The focus of research will be the modelling and virtual screening of protein targets for cancer therapeutics, and will include looking at novel approaches of molecular modelling and drug design based on work on protein fold topology. The research will also include experimental validation by protein crystallography.

The successful candidate will possess a PhD with relevant research experience, including demonstrated experience in state-of-the-art molecular modelling techniques and knowledge of the relevant software
(SYBYL, GOLD, Modeller, etc) in a UNIX/IRIX environment.

Experience in protein structure determination and crystallography is desirable. Strong communication
