Hi Tassos, It'll take more than a cable: the signal voltage changes from 12V to 5V (or vice versa, I forget). I've never seen any info on building a step-down transformer or aomplifier to address the issue, but for ~$200 USD, it's probably easier just to buy a new emitter.
