I am using COOT 0.5-pre and getting the following error when opening a cns map.
I can open that map in O.
CCP4 map filename: /Users/rajadey/yong/cns/coot/sa_omit_map.map
INFO:: map file type was determined to be CNS type

attempting to read CNS map: /Users/rajadey/yong/cns/coot/sa_omit_map.map
CNSMAPfile: can't get number of header lines
WARNING:: failed to read /Users/rajadey/yong/cns/coot/sa_omit_map.map
DEBUG:: Erasing the back molecule 1 which says that it has molecule number 1
Read map /Users/rajadey/yong/cns/coot/sa_omit_map.map failed
I installed mapman and it's also failed with similar error when trying to
convert with mapman. See below:
MAPMAN > re slot1 sa_omit_map.map
Format ? (CCP4) XPLOR
Read header
Input map : (sa_omit_map.map)
ERROR --- While reading input file
Closing XPLOR map on unit : ( 1)
ERROR --- While reading map header. Sorry !
ERROR --- While opening map file
Any suggestion to solve this problem? I am using macbook leopard with intel
core 2 duo (OSX 10.5). CNS version 1.2.
