Some time ago I put up a small survey to find out what are the popular
plates nowadays. I got 8 replies, not counting anyone selling plates
themselves, not very representatve perhaps, but anyway thanks to all for
participating.

Among these, the new 3 drop Intelliplates from Art Robbins are the clear
winner with 4 votes (50%). One user liked the higher well shelf for easier
harvesting and the imbedded well nomenclature on the shelf so you always
know where you are in the microscope.
A disadvantage that was mentioned twice is that conditions containing things
like MPD tend to creep up from the reservoir into the wells. this can be
prevented by limiting the reservoir volume to 50 uL.

Second was the 2 Drop MRC plate (2 votes, 25%) Good optical properties and
relatively easy harvesting were mentioned, but also that non-uniformity
causes problems with the user's robot (Robot brand was not mentioned).

The last two votes were for the 3 drop SwissCi plate and the Greiner 3 drop
round. The Greiner was liked for the lower price.
