*POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN STRUCTURAL BIOLOGY *

A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the group of Lionel
Mourey at the Institut de Pharmacologie et de Biologie Structurale
(IPBS) to determine the crystal structure and elucidate the role of a
family of proteins involved in centrosome assembly and microtubule
nucleation. These proteins are promising targets for cancer therapy and
the project has pharmacological perspectives
You should have a PhD in structural biology or related fields with a
solid background in X-ray protein crystallography. Experience in protein
purification is highly desired. Practical knowledge of molecular
modelling and structure-based drug design is a plus.
State-of-the art equipment is available for all aspects of the work,
including FPLC systems, automated crystallization screening and imaging,
two X-ray diffractometers , and access to synchrotron time at ESRF
(Grenoble) and SOLEIL(Gif/Yvette).
Note that this is a two-year appointment, with a possibility of renewal
for a further 1 year.
