We recently upgraded our old rotating anode X-Ray generator, and it now seems unlikely that anyone here will want to use the old one. So before we take it apart and throw it away we would like to ask if anyone can use it. Its an Enraf Nonius FR591 with optics attached. We last used it in July 2008, and as far as we aware it is still operational, with the proviso that the flexible carbon waterseal needs replaced and the bearing/feedthrough needs rebuilt. It would come with manual and remaining spares and tool kit. We offer it at no cost, receiving lab would have to arrange/pay for its removal and transport to the new lab. We are not willing to break it for spares, however if you need something register your interest with me and if we do finally have to throw it out we will see what can be done.
