Post-Doctoral Position in Ubiquitin Research Applications are sought for a Post-Doctoral position in the Dhe-Paganon laboratory <http://www.sgc.utoronto.ca/pmwiki/pmwiki.php?n=ubiquitinbiology.HomePage> in the Department of Physiology <http://www.physiology.utoronto.ca/res/staff/dhepaganon.htm> and Structural Genomics Consortium <http://www.thesgc.org/> at the University of Toronto <http://www.utoronto.ca/> with the goal of discovering molecular mechanisms involved in ubiquitylation and deubiquitylation using various biochemical tools including high-throughput structure-determination and discovery, development, and use of chemical probes. The candidate will develop an independent research program that would benefit from and contribute to an interdisciplinary and collaborative research environment. Available to laboratory scientists are core facilities, including cloning, crystallography, and biophysical services. Experience in protein purification and crystallization with a good background in cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemistry would be a major asset for this position. A track record of publication would be important, interest in potential applications to disease an advantage.
