A Postdoctoral Position is available immediately in the laboratory of
Heidi Erlandsen at the Institute of Oral Health Research, School of
Dentistry, University of Alabama at Birmingham, Birmingham, USA. The
position involves structural and biophysical characterization of the
interactions of the extracellular growth factor pleiotrophin and its
receptor protein tyrosine phosphatase beta/zeta.
Experience with cloning, protein expression and purification methods,
characterization of purified proteins by biophysical techniques and
protein crystallography is a benefit but not a must. The successful
applicant must be a US citizen or green card holder due to the nature
of the funding for the position.
