Hi Mark

Thanks, yes I've just had confirmation from our IT manager that there's a known 
bug in our Microsoft Exchange Server.  Apparently in the case of some large 
attachments our server fails to send the acknowledgement of successful receipt 
to the sender even though the e-mail has been delivered successfully to my 
inbox, so the sender thinks it was undelivered & keeps trying 32 times! (i.e. 
256 Mb of e-mails in this case!!!).
