From: The University of Rochester Medical Center, Department of Biochemistry & Biophysics Rochester, New York, USA An NIH funded post-doctoral position is available immediately to investigate the mechanisms of action of riboswitches and ribozymes. Primary experimental methods include: X-ray crystallography, kinetics, small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), synthetic organic chemistry, protein purification, dynamic light scattering, and molecular biology. Qualified candidates must hold a Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field. Prior experience with X-ray crystallography is preferred. Post-doctoral fellows will have an opportunity to work with other trainees and staff members in a modern research setting with excellent resources. Travel opportunities are available for data collection, and to present scientific findings at meetings. Opportunities for career development and mentoring are available.
