Postdoctoral Position in Structural Biology Applicants are invited to apply for a postdoctoral position in the area of structural biology and signal transduction. We are seeking enthusiastic, well-trained and self-motivated scientists with excellent organizational and communication skills to join a team led by Dr. Nicolas Nassar. The research projects will focus on studying protein-protein and protein-small molecule interactions using X-ray crystallography, site-directed mutagenesis, fluorescence spectroscopy and other biophysical techniques. Applicants must have extensive experience in X-ray crystallography, NMR, or a related biophysical or biochemical technique. Experience in studying biochemical and structural aspects of signal transduction would be particularly desirable but other applicants with relevant experience will also be considered. Cincinnati Childrenâs Hospital Medical Center is an internationally renowned institute. Research at The Division of Experimental Hematology and Cancer Biology is in the areas of experimental hematology, cancer, and gene therapy. The division's goals are to understand the biology of blood cell formation and function and to dissect cancer etiology and pathology so that the knowledge can be used in the development of innovative treatments of genetic and acquired diseases affecting the blood system and cancer. Research efforts are allocated in six basic research programs within the division to optimize the potential for translational research in children with genetic blood diseases, immunodeficiencies, cancers, and leukemia. We provide a stimulating and supportive environment and our expertise covers a range of experimental systems. (http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/research/div/exp-hematology/default.htm)
