individual with expertise in bioinformatics and computational biology to be 
part of an
interdisciplinary core informatics group interacting with a wide range of 
scientists
addressing basic biomedical questions in genomics, systems biology, and drug 
discovery.

The candidate should possess a BS, MS or PhD degree in computer science, 
information
sciences, bioinformatics, or computational biology and have demonstrated 
capabilities in
cyber-interface management and enablement, programming, and parallel computing
systems related to biomedical-based research. The successful applicant will be 
part of a
rapidly expanding initiative in bioinformatics at MUSC.
