The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for performing cutting-edge research including structural and mechanistic studies on drug targets as part of early drug discovery programs. Target proteins include novel drug targets in the fields of oncology and inflammation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: - Designing and conducting original research related to one or more Celgene early drug discovery programs - Carrying out both independent research and working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team - Conducting structural work to support ongoing drug discovery programs - Publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals and presenting work at scientific meetings Applicants should have recently completed a PhD in structural biology, with strong laboratory skills in protein biochemistry and solid training in macromolecular X-ray crystallography. A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals is required, along with strong presentation and organizational abilities. Excellent communication skills will help candidates get the most from a highly interdisciplinary and collaborative environment, as will a strong desire to apply research skills to find therapies for serious unmet medical needs.
