Post-doc and PhD Position at the Institute of Biochemistry at the Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany
The Institute of Biochemistry, Goethe University Frankfurt, is looking for an experienced crystallographer at the post-doctoral level with outstanding track record to work on structures of membrane proteins and complexes. The candidate must have a PhD in protein crystallography with experience in recombinant protein expression, purification and crystallization. The Institute also offers a position for a PhD student with experience in protein biochemistry to work on structure-function relations of membrane proteins and complexes. Both projects are joint ventures of the groups of Martin Pos and Robert Tampé and the successful candidates will use the facilities of both labs. The institute is well-equipped including state-of-the-art robotics to facilitate overproduction and crystallization of membrane proteins and is embedded in the Research Center SFB 807 (www.sfb807.de), Center for Membrane Proteomics (www.cmp.de) and Cluster of Excellence Frankfurt Macromolecular Complexes (www.cef-mc.de).
