Applications are invited for 3 year PhD studentships, available for October 
2011 in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Essex, 
Colchester.


The project titles are:

Project 1. "How do haem proteins discriminate between gas molecules"
Project 2. "Studying reaction intermediates in protein crystals"
Supervisor: Dr Mike Hough

Both multidisciplinary projects will allow the opportunity to perform 
experiments at leading international X-ray facilities including the Swiss Light 
Source, near Zürich and Diamond Light Source, UK.
