I want to ask about a system (dewar or container) for long term storage of protein crystals. Is the below mention system is all right also for long term storage of protein crystals or not? For cryo saving cell lines, We have cryostor 240 (liquid nitrogen dewar) (http://www.statebourne.com/cryostor_series.html) attached with biosystem 12 (liquid nitrogen refrigerator) (http://www.statebourne.com/bio_system_series.html) in our institute. I have attached the picture also. We have boxes as shown in picture and put the cryo vials in it and then into biosystem 12 refrigerator. Cooling source is nitrogen vapours and it goes until -176 degrees. If not then kindly give me suggestions. Best Regards Sadaf Iqbal
