1. RA/SRA in Structural Biology

Job Description
Position available for a Research Associate/Senior Research Associate to join
the Structural Biology Department involved in exploring structural and
functional properties of proteins of therapeutic interest. The successful
candidate will be responsible for the purification, characterization and
crystallization of proteins for structural analysis by X-ray crystallography,
experience in crystallization, cloning, expression and use of high throughput
methods for protein purification and characterization would be considered
strong assets.

Qualifications
A B.S. or M.S. in biochemistry, molecular biology or related discipline and a
minimum of 2 (two) years of research laboratory experience in protein chemistry
and/or crystallization are required. Experience with crystallization
automation and HPLC or FPLC purification systems is preferred. The successful
candidate must be motivated, capable of working independently, and enjoy

Job Description
We are looking for an experienced candidate to join the Protein Expression
Group within the Structural Biology Department. He/she will participate in the
management and further development of a high-throughput platform to create
protein expression constructs required to explore structure and functional
properties of proteins of therapeutic interest and to support protein reagent
development for small and large molecule drug discovery and basic research in a
core facility setting. The candidate will collaborate with other scientists
within and outside the Structural Biology Department and will serve as a
resource in the areas of molecular biology and design/creation of protein
expression constructs in high-throughput fashion. Experience with standard
molecular biology techniques (e.g. subcloning, mutagenesis, library
construction, primer design, and DNA/protein sequence analysis), automatic
liquid handling, and technology development is required. Familiarity with
protein expression using E. coli, baculovirus infected cells and mammalian
cells is a plus.

Qualifications
Ph.D./Post-doc in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related discipline with 5
or more years of relevant postdoctoral/ industry experience required. Candidate
