Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the lab of Ho Leung Ng, Department of Chemistry, University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. Multiple projects are available involving antibody complexes, GPCRs, structure based drug design, natural products drug discovery, protein engineering, and developing methods for membrane protein crystallization. The fellow will also be expected to come up with her own project ideas. The laboratory benefits from collaborations with industry and the medical school to pursue broad, interdisciplinary approaches to challenging structural biology problems.
We seek a highly motivated scientist with extensive experience in cloning, protein expression, purification, characterization, and crystallography. Expertise with multiple expression systems including E. coli, yeast, and cell free systems is highly valued. Experience with membrane proteins will be very helpful. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and at least one first author publication. The fellow must be able to work independently and enjoy mentoring students.
