We are looking for a Research Scientist responsible for our new X-ray 
Crystallography Facility at the Institute of Structural Biology of the 
Helmholtz Zentrum München. The ideal candidate will have excellent practical 
and theoretical knowledge in crystallization and structure determination of 
proteins by X-ray crystallography, as well as experience in sub-cloning, 
protein expression and purification. Since the successful candidate will also 
support the Chemical Biology Initiative of the Helmholtz Zentrum, experience in 
working with small inhibitory molecules would be an advantage. The person will 
be responsible for running the facility on a daily basis, interaction with 
collaboration partners, coordination and performing dataset collection as well 
as structure determination. 

We are searching for a talented and motivated individual with a PhD in a 
relevant field. Strong communications skills are required as well as the 
ability to work independently. Experience in working with multi-disciplinary 
teams is of advantage, as is experience in teaching others on how to solve
