Postdoctoral research position in the structural biology of RNA and RNA-protein complexes
A postdoctoral position is available in Nick Reiter's lab at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. The main interests of the group focus on the structural mechanisms of tRNA processing in human mitochondria and elucidating RNA-protein interactions and structure at the level of chromatin. We couple X-ray and NMR approaches with functional cell-based assays. Applicants with structural biology training using X-ray crystallographic methods, with strong experience in molecular biology (cloning), protein production, and computational biology will be considered. NMR experience is also considered a plus, but is not required for the position. Vanderbilt is a leader in a wide range of biomedical research disciplines and is home to the Center for Structural Biology, a world-class facility for molecular biophysics and biomacromolecular structure determination. More information about research in the Reiter lab can be found on pubmed or at: http://structbio.vanderbilt.edu/faculty/reiter.php The earliest expected start date is July or August of 2013. Interested applicants should send a curriculum vitae, a summary of research experience and accomplishments, and contact information of 2-3 references to [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>
